Elizabeth “Lizzy” McDonald, daughter of Karen Salerno and Thomas McDonald, Granddaughter of Gabriella and Joseph, Pauline and Ralph respectively honors her ancestors. Lizzy works and lives on the homeland of the Munsee Lenape, Wappinger, Pequonnock, Schaghticoke. Lizzy studies and has studied with many beloved contemporary teachers and wisdom keepers who she thanks deeply including Rosita Arvigo, Niki Coate, Shonagh Home, Laura Amazzone, Gail Gorelick, Sherri Sim, and Dana Stovern. Lizzy’s greatest teacher is nature, receiving many of her direct teachings from the plants themselves. She thanks the influence of Pam Montgomery and Stephen Buhner for awakening in her this remembrance. She thanks the plants and the spiritual realm for their benevolence and grace, for without their deep connection, she would not be alive today.
